My daughter is new to the area, and has just bought a single-family rental home in Covington, GA (SE metro Atlanta area.) Needs a couple small jobs done. Does anyone have a recommendation please for a reliable Handyman in this metro southeast Atlanta area? Thanks!

Watch a few you-tube "how to" videos, and do them herself.

Small jobs are good to get her feet wet.

For cheap handymen and trench diggers, my dad would go to local liquor stores and find some drunks who needed booze money. Catch: you must watch your workers who are stoners or drunks to keep them from botching the job - my elderly dad would sit in a chair and supervise . . . when he didn't, things weren't done right. --98.97.xxx.xx

Go to a few of the local big box stores or even local hardware stores. They usually have a list or handiman business cards. Ask a manager who he would hire out of the bunch. That's how we got our carpet and flooring layer for years until he passed away. --216.131.xxx.xx

I would advise against using Angi aka Angi's list. They have software engineers who can do a little more than caulking at that's it.

Thumbtack all the good people are extremely busy and will never get to your job. Like all good tradesman, they are usually booked a least a month in advance. --186.247.xx.xxx
