I need a PDF programmer to convert my paper lease to the PDF form filler file. Does anybody know of a company or individual who does this?

Does one have to learn how to program Kofax same as would have to do with PDF form filler s/w? I dont have time to learn how to program it. My lease is in text and word files already
Why do you prefer KOFAX over PDF form filler s/w --173.73.xxx.xxx |

Does it "need" to be a PDF? I use Google forms, to collect information, and they work great.
Are you wanting to collect signatures remotely / electronically?
For that I use Word documents uploaded to Docusign - a bit of a cost, but well-known & reliable --72.218.xx.xxx |

This the software I use:
Paid for a one time license about 5 years ago for Kofax. It's a desktop app. Does redactions, forms, highlights, document assembly, etc.
Signnow. Annual subscription for digital signatures
Google forms free
Office subscription purchased about 5 years ago. no subscription model. Desktop app. --64.246.xxx.xx |

I use PDFfiller. It is pretty simple, although a bit clunky. I have an annual subscription. It allows me to hot link my application and lease, which is handy.
I also use it for document singing.
Not positive but I think that google docs will convert to a PDF file, maybe even one that is somewhat fillable. Electronic signing requires a subscription I think.
None of these require coding knowledge. I know that PDFfiller has toggles to help you work thru what you need. --47.227.xx.xxx |

If it's in Word you can print to a PDF file. THEN:
If you need a fillable file for electronic initials, dates and signatures you have a wide choice: PDFiller, Docusign, etc. --173.18.xx.xxx |

Chrome just had an Update and they allow signatures.
Not sure if you can lock the PDF so the tenant can't change things, but it is a step I guess. --154.47.xx.xxx |

I know that doing lease signings online is all the rage, but I am not all that sold in how you transmit your expectation to the new resident.
Yes we can say it is in the lease. Then again, do you really read the user agreement for software or do you just push that you agree? --50.96.xx.xxx |

They don't have to read it Ray, they just have to initial sign and date SAYING that they read it. Then when we issue a violation notice, and cut & paste the pertinent part of the lease, they can't say they weren't warned.
Here's a clue I sometimes get that something is going on when mid-way through a lease term, a tenant will randomly ask me how to access his lease online. ;) --73.216.xxx.xxx |

Ray, I still go over the lease while we are standing in the building. All of the key things are discussed.
Most of the time, even with paper leases, they just sign everything absently. That's why I go over the important things.
For me, the electronic lease works better as they have the opportunity to read thru it before I am standing there.
Then there is the less clutter option. I no longer print the lease out. Even if I have to evict them I just send the electronic versions to my lawyer.
The savings on ink and paper helps with the subscription costs for PDFfiller.
Plus, I am getting younger tenants it seems. They prefer the electronic signing. Makes me look hip and cool and anyone who has met me knows I need help with that. --47.227.xx.xxx |
