Our board of supervisors (our county) approved an Animal Abuse Registry. I've found that most animal abusers are also sub par renters as well. Waiting for the legal aid enablers to jump on this and consider it a "blacklist" of tenants.
I think it is a GREAT idea and would definitely use it to screen renters.

Interesting concept. I am positive that my spouse would be all for it, but instead of a misdemeanor she would opt for public flogging or worse.
The problem becomes who decides what is considered abuse?
Back when I was growing up we had animals outside that would surely put one on the registry by today's standards.
Sometimes I can't believe that a doghouse is still legal to own. --47.227.xx.xxx |

I've thought about that Zero - our dog lived inside with us like a member of the family, but perfect sane normal families back in the day believed a dog should never come in the house.
I wonder how much that had to do with fleas and such that we had no way to control back then? --73.216.xxx.xxx |

Hi there, this would be my first experience posting here. Ive been reading through a lot of the discussions and Im honestly pleased with how much practical and well explained information people contribute. Its great to see a place where members genuinely make an effort to break things down in a clear way. Im still figuring out how everything works, but so far this seems like a reliable place to get information. I have been reading about this recently. --92.119.xx.xx |
