Mamdani Housing Event Features a Lady in a Mask Ranting About Her Landlord, Declaring ‘Eviction’ Is ‘Violence’
Transcript: ‘My landlord owns dozens of buildings but he’s not a steward of public trust’ UNKNOWN FEMALE: “Our city is turning the corner on tenant power. When we organize, we win results. The Mamdani administration is emboldening us so that we no longer tolerate the violence of evictions as a matter of 'business as usual.' (Cheering and Applause) My landlord owns dozens of buildings, but he is not a steward of the public trust. In fact, it is the opposite.”
Commenters: How does this woman and all the people applauding in agreement manage to get from breakfast to dinner without minders? It is alarming that they are considered mentally competent. I am not saying this lightly.
So paying my mortgage and property taxes in fear of foreclosure is violence? Time to stop paying my property taxes!

Pfft. Without evictions, there would BE no rentals available. Because nobody would ever pay rent. And so nobody would provide apartments, because it would be useless to do so.
And everyone who can't secure bank loans for houses and make mortgage payments would have to live in tents.
So thank evictions for weeding out the bad tenants, so good tenants can get rewarded with good apartments and yes evictions also bring rent prices down because rentals don't have to carry huge numbers of freeloaders.

HOW TO EVICT A TENANT IN LOS ANGELES.
1) The tenant refuses to pay rent with no valid excuse.
2) Owner/Landlord needs to hire an Attorney who Specializes in Eviction.
3) Attorney drafts the unlawful detain-er action and has a Licensed Process Server hand delivery it to the tenants.
3a) Within the next three days the Landlord or Attorney must send to the Los Angeles Housing Department, First Class Mail with a return request receipt, a certified copy of the eviction papers.
4) The Housing Department then contacts the tenant and says, "DO NOT PAY YOUR LANDLORD ANY MONEY! INSTEAD WE WILL PROVIDE FOR YOUR FREE LEGAL AID TO HELP FIGHT YOUR EVICTION. UP TO $15,000 IN LEGAL FEE'S. AND EVEN IF YOU LOOSE THE CASE, DON'T MOVE WITHOUT DEMANDING RELOCATION COSTS -- BETWEEN $11,000 AND $22,000".
5) The the tenant case gets put on the court docket. Firms contact your tenant and remind them, with any open case from Housing, the Health Department, Building and Safety or another agency will trigger a law that states "no one can be eviction with an open case".

What happens when tenants live in a housing authority apartment building then do not pay rent. The tenants are evicted where everyone knows governments have easier eviction process. Along with here government apartment buildings are not under rent control. --216.110.xxx.xxx |

It will be interesting to see what the politics are in NYC in a few years. They can only dig so deep before the sides cave in on them similar to what happened in Argentina. Then based on historical examples, there will be an uprising back to more conservative principles. --99.64.xx.xx |
