multi unit appraisal $ ? (by Dodge [PA]) Posted on: Jul 16, 2026 12:29 PM

Has anyone gotten an appraisal on a 2 or 3 unit in the past couple of years? What did it cost? --204.111.xxx.xxx

It mostly depends on where the property is. Hi priced cities/areas will be a lot more.

A few calls to locals will answer the question. --174.84.xxx.xx

It will depend if the bank requires them to use a combined Comp, Rent rate, construction and Capitation approach in the Appraisal. Around here they are $500-800 but typically only need Sold Comps only. --98.17.xx.xx

Agree with Ray. If the bank requires their own the cost is considerably more. --174.249.xxx.xxx

Thanks!

Yup, it'll be with a bank. Just running some numbers to see if it's worth reaching out to a lender. --174.220.xx.xx

I can’t give you an exact amount because the building I got a loan on is larger and the lender charged the fee as an app fee. I believe it was a total of $4500 and it included the appraisal. --162.204.xxx.xxx

Any of my 2 units have had the same appraisal cost as a one unit.

I did get three appraisals for like buildings at the same time and got a little discount.

I have no three units.

Appraisals went up around here to $550 when my daughter had hers done a few months back. --47.227.xx.xxx
