Article points out that Gen Z and Younger Millennials lack three essential skills needed to work with AI:

1. attention to detail

2. critical thinking

3. creative problem solving

hrdive.com/news/younger-workers-may-be-falling-behind-in-critical-thinking-skills/823625/

Personally, I can completely believe this. They were not adequately trained at home nor in their schooling. --72.0.xxx.xx

I haven't read the article yet but I know this...

This generation of workers were online during covid and has a skewed version of learning that we Boomers find hard to understand.

And long term, legitimate studies show the more screen time a student has the less "thinking skills" such as imagination and creativity. Like typing vs handwriting the "image" on the screen goes into the wrong side of the brain.

My simplified summation - it turns their brains to mush.

Revolutionary schools are finding better comprehension and better student satisfaction/ enjoy learning when they must use pencil and paper, read in a BOOK, and are not allowed to use tech.

As Canada is going to be manufacturing more here where is offering free trade school to get more people into skilled trades which is can not be replaced with AI. Skilled workers have a future where earn $35 to $45 CDN dollars per hour along with job security where retail is a never ending revolving door of 60 per cent turn over. --216.110.xxx.xxx
