#1 Someone highjacked my Zillow ad for a rental, even with my watermark on the photos, and offered the home at a reduced but reasonable rate. They changed the wording slightly.
#2 Zillow has a new Ai kinda thing called JACK. He's supposed to help you with your posting.
Jack popped up in red saying my account was blocked because I broke a rule but it did not say what. I carefully examined my ad for errors, websites, discrimination words, etc but it was "clean".
I clicked on Jack's link to tell me what was wrong. Another screen opened with a Zillow logo with a JACK logo. It said they needed BANK VERIFICATION because Zillow has a lot of scammers. Just enter you credit card here to verify you are legit.
NOPE! I checked and the posting was still live.
Buh-bye Jack!

Daughter sold her house. Two days later it shows up as for rent. Had the same pics and wording that the realtor put on there.
Daughter wondered how they could rent the place for less than the mortgage would be.
Turns out the listing landlord is from Arizona. It was up a couple days I guess. I am sure the new owners loved the traffic. --47.227.xx.xxx |

Brad, Thanks for the warning! I had a message come thru my Zillow ad messages falsely stating my ad had violated something and was blocked too. So I went to my computer and could see the rental listing was still active.
I found there is a way in "Rental Manager" to report an applicant that makes false claims like that so I did. Go to "Messages" and to the right of their name are 3-dots, click that to get menu and select, "REPORT".
Speaking of Zillow did you see that when you advertise you can now set 3 screening criteria like 1. credit score minimum, and 2. income to rent ratio (2.5, 3, or 3.5xrent, etc)
and 3. Whether you allow any Pets (cats, dogs, etc).
And it has a box if your rental $price includes everything or if there are any FEES in addition to rent. --67.145.xxx.xxx |
