Hello. I am not an CPA but I overheard my electrician speaking to someone he was working with. The guy mentioned needing to reduce his payment by 25% so he could pay taxes on his work. He ended by saying he would receive a 1099. I told him to check into this because why is he reducing his pay for taxes when he is issuing him a 1099. Am I wrong? Any suggestions? I just give 1099s and let them handle their tax issues. Thanks --76.36.xx.xxx
