We're on the docket for 2 weeks from today so that is excellent. He said he had to do some talking to get it, they usually do 3 as someone on here told me. My only concern, my DH is 80 and he doesn't hear well, he got one letter wrong in the name of the BF not on the lease but living there. Will they throw it out because of that? I should have written it out. --216.126.xx.xx

Two weeks is incredible, congrats on that. For the misspelling, call the clerk directly to ask. I think that you can file an amendment, but I've never needed to, so I don't know the process. In my opinion, you should have kept it "and all other occupants" but hopefully there aren't any others there that you don't know about. --165.85.xxx.xxx

AI for the win again! It says VA Code 16.1-93 covers it. I am supposed to bring it up to the Judge before we begin so he/she can correct it. That is what the local clerk said today on the phone anyway.

They had already taken it for service when I called hoping to get it corrected online but no luck yet. If anyone checks to see if they are guilty of an eviction before they rent to them, they will see it. So, her stubbornness is going to hurt both of us again. --216.126.xx.xx

I am amazed that the courts allowed you to add him when he is not on the lease.

Good for you tho. Now that it is started you just have to wait.

Maybe start looking for materials and cleaning supplies as well as someone to do the work. You have two weeks at least to find them and get on their schedule. --195.242.xxx.xxx

Zero, I only have social media posts (printed off) for proof, however, I know he is living there, so any eviction has to include him or I might have to start over.

As I've stated before, I've had tenants that were not on the lease and when I tried to use that defense, the court said if they are living there, they get treated as a tenant. --216.126.xx.xx
