Is there an enzyme cleaner I can use to clear grease 30 feet down a drain? I can use hot water but clearly it just solidifies again 5 feet later. I am hoping to find an enzyme that breaks it down. I am very good about not putting grease down but there is always some on dishes. Every 4 months or so the drain basically stops. I snake it and it works again but not for long.

If you want to do it yourself go rent a water jetter. --162.204.xxx.xxx |

Problem with a jetter or a snake, that hole that gets created will fill again as the grease melts - sealing it back up again. Grease really does stink.
In the past, I have used baking soda and then vinegar with kettles of rolling boil hot water flushing it further down the drain. It is a slow process. Did I say that grease stinks. It is plain old nasty. Toilet water smells so much better than grease

Yes I am sure it is not roots but good question. I have not heard of a grease trap but I will look into it. It is not really bad everything is exposed it just takes 15 minutes but often happens at a bad time.
I was told before it was grease the last time I hired a company, and it makes sense with how the clog works. --66.29.xxx.xxx |

Enzymes pretty much only work on proteins. I've never herd of one that eats grease.

Just snaked it and snake was greasy but I do not snake much so maybe that is normal. I turned my hot water tank to highest setting and let it run 10 minutes, drano, wait 1 hour, hot water for 10 minutes again. --66.29.xxx.xxx |

On amazon you can water jet that connects to a pressure washer where that is lot of force. Some come at 30 metres or 100’ Common problem with drains was clog in apartment building where had plumbers grade auger where had to run through many times to clear main drain. --216.110.xxx.xxx |

What the He-double hockey sticks is wrong with you? Where did that grease come from? Is it your grease? Why would you allow grease into a plumbing drain? Are you stupid or something? Is it a tenant dumping grease into the plumbing?
Tenant grease equals a plumber called and the tenant pays the bill. That's how they learn.
Your grease equals pay a plumber and wise the heck up to drains, grease, solids, and water. Drains are designed to take water only.
Got it? --184.57.xxx.xxx |

Had a sewer line back up once from grease. I accessed the trap at the curb, and used my shop vac to suck out a grease ball about the size of a baseball. Gross job, but once I figured out where the clog was and what was causing it, it was a pretty quick fix. Beautiful sight to see all that water rushing down an open drain. --206.171.xxx.xx |
