HI,
What will you do:
The previous tenant moved out, and I did not check the laundry room, then I found out that the washer holds a full tank of water without draining off .
What it be the possible problem, a plumbing problem or a washer's problem?
How to drain the water off? especially, the water was turn off now.

the washer. Why don;t you drain and spin as best you can and run it through a cycle. --76.117.xxx.xxx |

If it’s a top load, especially a kenmore or whirlpool, it’s almost always the lid switch. With the washing machine on, jam a pencil or screwdriver where the lid switch is. Sometimes they get worn out where they just require more travel. Sometimes they fail altogether. Regardless, that’s most likely the issue. It’s a cheap and easy fix. --74.244.xx.xxx |

Many newer models of washers have a "Water" filter, that when clogged, limits the water exiting the drain hose.

Does it run through the cycles? You might have a bad pump --67.140.xx.xx |
