Back during COVID, Oil and Gas Rights were listed as a sell even when the price of futures were negative numbers....in other words they were giving it away that specific week. Low and behold weeks into that crisis, gas did still cost money at the pump and prices recovered.

So, with all the mess continued mess in the middle east going on, I gain checked out the outlook for energy. Even with oil at $117/barrel, they still have it listed as a Buy. Do I think the headaches are going to suddenly stop after a few thousand years are quarreling? Nope. But I would have a hard time to believe we will stay super involved much longer.

For oil my lock in price was $39. If prices would stay contracted for a few months at below $20, the company would be in danger. But from a practical standpoint, that isn't going to happen for a long, long, long time.

Do I think oil will stay in three figure territory? If it does - think recession, if we are not already in one. But I can in no fashion at all tell you it is a good idea to lock in today's prices like the Energy Monitor is saying.

Most of you didn't listen when I recommended to buy. I do hope you listen in hearing me say NOT to buy now.

I was wanting to buy, back when you first told me about it.

Unfortunately I did not.

Now that my kid has her house on the market I will have some money coming my way. Guess I will use the spare change for my new barn instead. --47.227.xx.xxx

Maybe you could short it? BUT with the way the reactions to anything the President says go these days, betting long or short, one comment and the price whipsaws and you could lose a lot ---unless you happen to be certain political people that have advanced insider info, then you could make millions. --172.222.xx.xxx

OGM have had a long history of boom/bust cycles every few years. I had an old Petroleum Engineer that had lived through dozens of these cycles tell me to buy below 40 and sell above 60 and you will always make money on the cycle. Prior to his death, he had one of the largest OGM businesses in town and did quite well for himself. --99.64.xx.xx

I'm just now getting the Feb royalties payment so I'll have to wait couple more months on the oil ply to see how the war impacts returns.

When it comes to natural gas, it depends largely on how the operating company plays the game. Returns are 4x larger than the other so it depnds on the level of aggressiveness --67.140.xx.xxx
