What do you do when you discover a shower door is just gone during an inspection? Small shower stall, no rod, no curtain, no glass door..... just open. Looking on mobile home supply stores, I haven't seen a replacement door. --216.126.xx.xx |

So they just let the shower water splash out all over the floor?
I would consider that to be a problem that the tenant has to pay to remedy.
No shower doors left in my rentals. We supply rods for curtains. Sometimes you get a person who leaves the curtain open, but the doors were always a pain to clean. Plus the worry about them shattering.
Maybe check a Restore close by if you just want the door? --47.227.xx.xxx |

I haven't had that happen, but I believe I would go buy & install an adjustable tension rod & shower curtain.
Charge the person(s) who removed it for the cost of materials & my (very expensive) time to do it, as well as repair holes in the wall.
If someone is still living there & using this shower, I would explain the problem to them - and the extra costs they will incur for other damage caused by their actions (rotten floor, vanity, etc). Then go around the perimeter of the room and ensure the waterproof floor & trim are secure and well caulked. --72.218.xx.xxx |

Did you ask the tenant where the door is? Perhaps it was a pain and got water on the floor when open and they put it in the closet behind their stuff for safe return. And use a shower curtain? Maybe? --172.59.xx.xxx |

Already given them 30 days notice, place is in such bad shape. 12 year tenant that I gave way too much freedom. I guess a short rod and curtain will have to do. --216.126.xx.xx |

We have always removed glass doors and replace with rod and curtain...be sure to get shower curtain weights (Amazon.) Really helps. --173.18.xx.xxx |

I’ve never had a door just disappear. I unlike some like shower doors and not curtains. I find they are harder to use incorrectly and thus less water on the floors. I do buy the more expensive ones with thicker glass. I started with the cheapest HD version but they were flimsy. I’ve yet to ever have one break other than during installation. --162.204.xxx.xxx |
