I needed some bank reconciliations completed for an entire year. I uploaded my check register and bank transactions into Genesis and had it complete them . It needed the proper prompts to produce the output but was able to complete the task in short order. More evidence that this technology is a complete game changer. It will take some jobs but that's aways off IMO as it still needs supervision. The output is only as good as your prompts. --23.28.xx.xx |

I’ve tried it for a handful of things. In my opinion, it’s made the public education system instantly obsolete. --24.152.xxx.xx |

Potentially, but that's a function of how curious someone is. I've spent hours asking questions about things I'm curious about. Just recently, I had questions about how the Coptic, Catholic and Eastern Orthodox Christian churches came about and it explained it. For historical stuff like this, it's fine. For more technical topics, you need to double-check and be very specific with your prompts. I've found answers to more technical questions to be dead wrong.
Here's another example of how I've used it just a few hours ago-
I have some I-Bonds that I bought at various times and interest rates. I uploaded a PDF of purchases and had it calculate my average weighted yield and produce a schedule summarizing the results by purchase. It knocked that analysis out quickly.
So, I have practical things I have it do but it's also a on line library where I can just ask about things I'm curious about.

It’s an absolutely great starting point. For now it’s just that. In a few years it will be interesting to see how it develops. --162.204.xxx.xxx |

AI is the worst it will ever be right now. It’s going to grow exponentially whether people like it or not. Honestly, I can see the next generation's curriculum ditching Algebra to master 'Effective Prompt Generation' instead. --128.77.xx.xxx |

Thanks, GKARL. Glad you are double checking.
I read something recently that talked about how AI is "wired", for lack of a better word, to give you compliments of sorts, sort of like you might receive in conversation with a human if both parties seem to be agreeing. I have noticed it to be true as I "communicated" with it in researching something dealing with a mechanical experience on my vehicles with engine oil. It complimented me in my methodology and agreed with my analysis. It will also be polite and recognizes a thank you.
As you say, the key is using correct detailed prompts.
That said, I still question some answers because it gets its information from other humans who could be wrong or purposely misguiding it to achieve an objective. I'm guessing most people don't fact check. And, if you do, with AI becoming so widely used, can the fact check be trusted?
As far as the schools and curriculum go, I believe those things should still be learned using pencil and paper, at least for some subjects like math anyway, because what happens if a person is ever in a location and moment where there is no power or access to AI and they need to solve a problem?

GK - How does Genesis compare to ChatGPT? --172.74.xxx.xxx |

I like Genesis better. Chatgpt has work limits that reset daily for certain requests so it limits the number of detailed calculations requests you can make in a day. Genesis has no limit for now. From what I'm figuring, the limits are designed to force you into paid models. Neither are accurate on more technical questions and Chatgpt hallucinates more IMO.

I requested help from AI on brain health, wanting more than my doctor provided. AI chatted with me for 90 minutes, providing multiple recommendations and affirmations. When we were done, AI summarized and organized our interaction in a matter of seconds. I saved the one-page results, printed and am following them.
It will be interesting to hear my doctor's thoughts.
Looking to do a thorough financial AI inquiry; much more complicated, that's for another day.

We have a tenant that has discovered the wonders of ChatGPT, and has started to use it in her interactions with me. Recently when a squirrel chewed its way into her house, she sent me a text that I KNOW was copied and pasted from ChatGPT. It discussed how critical it was to call in a professional wildlife exterminator, and all the dangers of not moving swiftly, etc etc.
The problem is that the answer is only as good as its prompt. I'm quite sure she didn't include the request anywhere in the prompt to "Propose a solution that mitigates risk at the lowest possible cost."
Yah, no. I'm not paying an exterminator $$$$ for a SQUIRREL. We took down the downspout that was its stairway to heaven, waited a couple of days, and closed up the hole. But I had to justify my approach to the tenant. It was a bit annoying, and I'm sure it will only get worse. --104.230.xxx.xxx |

My first use of AI was for personal financial planning. I do my own financial planning and I wanted another opinion. Also, I had several questions about estate planning and trusts.
It was an extensive broad ranging analysis that was objective. I used Chatgpt for this. I plan on doing the same with Genesis to compare. I didn't agree with everything however, but it was good to have an objective "third party" view. --172.56.xxx.xxx |

GKARL, when looking for a third party AI opinion do you input the same into two different systems?
I think I might give that a try with some of the other versions. I see that Gemini is built into my browser now. --47.227.xx.xxx |

Zero, it's Gemini that I've been using also (I called it Genesis), but just input the same fact pattern and compare the the results. I did this with Chatgpt first. It's quite engaging and is programmed with personality. Gemini tends to be more toned down personality wise. --23.28.xx.xx |
