I'm planning my year calendar and looking at summer (June, specifically). The last few years I've attended a Mr. Landlord Convention in OH and IN right around that time.

I don't see it listed anywhere, except for it maybe being substituted in December 2026, in Arkansas.

Don't want to miss it. Had been looking forward to it since the last convention. And I have other travel plans hovering early June.

Anyone have confirmation on summer dates for a convention with Mr. Landlord?

I've checked repeatedly and it looks like no convention is happening this year.

I love going to the event and doing a serious self-reflection of my business practices and myself. We all have areas that need improved yet, how much time do we spend on these areas?

Let's take something like asset protection. The vast majority of us will not need it this year. We understand that there is an industry dedicated to suing people and this industry targets folks that have assets. We know that we have worked hard to accumulate these assets so why don't we collectively do more asset protection (for example)? Well like a gun, you don't need it until you really need it.

When I googled the question how many times a typical landlord gets sued, here was my answer -

While there isn’t a single, tidy national statistic that says “X% of landlords are sued each year,” industry data and legal trends show it’s a significant risk that successful landlords actively manage, not ignore.

Yet how many folks used land trust or equity striping to prevent from looking like a target? I know this stuff isn't the exciting stuff that sells books or lets you make lots of money. It does however open the doors to other income streams once you use these tools - like owner financing your own units even if they have notes on them. You make money of the spread. But before you can do anything, you need to recognize the need for process improvement and desire additional income streams.

Javier, and others, we have been waiting to hear from you!! Unlike other conferences and conventions, the Mr Landlord Convention has always been, and even more so in recent years, customer driven. Many of you know, Dot and I are landlords first. We do the conferences because we love being of service to landlords and I love teaching and serving as a moderator. When either of those two things stop, we will stop.

The Convention has provided tremendous value and benefit to thousands of landlords over the years. And as long as enough landlords still desire to grow, to improve, to learn from each other (as I still do) in a live one-of-a-kind educational environment, we will continue to serve and facilitate an awesome experience for those in attendance.

We just need to know if you and others still want us to be of service to you, still want to come and take advantage of the tremendous educational experience we provide, where iron sharpens iron and landlords learn from the experiences of others. This is the only nationwide event of it's kind that is run by landlords and aimed specifically at serving and improving the success of mom and pop rental property owners.

WMH, you are right, the Convention was announced two weeks earlier last year. And that is simply because, we heard from you, our customers two weeks earlier:). If you guys are indeed telling us, let's do this, let's make this happen again and that you will come, God willing, we are ready to facilitate another awesome landlord learning experience.

We have already made hotel arrangements to hold the event again this year in case we do hear from you. The dates are June 4-6, 2026 in Columbus Ohio. So just give us the word, tell us in the comments below that you still want to benefit from what we offer and what you gain from each other.

And here's the two words we most want to hear from you today - "I'm coming!"

Three days of specific and pointed training to improve your business! At the end of the event, you asked for us to have merely 10 ideas to implement into actionable items.

Since Johnathon's AI prompt training two years ago, I have been able Cherry pick what properties to procure. Friday, I had someone call me wanting to give me a as is $115,000-120,000 camp for what they paid for it back in 2003. Now there plenty of material and legal issues on this place that will need to get resolved. Last year's creative finance instructor provided the tool review, so I am offering less than 1% of the valve of the place down (paying back taxes) and an option to buy it for $21,000 sometime within the next three years (which gives me plenty of time to get rid of the freeloading squatter). This home is on South Lake Road, the lake is the largest one in the state.

For those of you who say there are no bargains in the MLS, I say then make the changes so you can find these deals. Stop buying retail. The vast majority of folks out there are looking on the easy search platforms. If everyone is zigging, you need to zag. The deals are not going to find themselves. You need to act.

Jeffery, you might have some resistance from folks who have attended events that were merely sales pitches. Would you let the group know how this event has evolved into the event that it is. You clearly deliver the tools, maybe even offering a 201-level convention on application of tools. Limit this to only your June convention attendees.

As for those of you who will delay going to the training thinking you want to perfectly time the market. I wish you the best of luck. Even if you do, it takes you weeks to dust off an existing program or system and it will take you at least months to create new one. If you dollar cost average transactions, you make money in every place within the market cycle. Yes, you make more money in a downward cycle, but if you don't have that established working relationship with the private money lender or banker during that upward market - what is on their mind?

I see where Jeffery also set up an incredible rate on the hotel too. Normally nightly rates were $175. If you use AAA it is $225 and I booked a room for almost one half of the AAA rate by letting them know I was with the convention.

Booked the hotel from Wednesday thru Saturday.
