I think this will create two cultures. One that wants nothing to do with AI and one that wants everything to do with AI. I also think after a while, neither side will be able to interact with the other. Both sides will be left out of the opposite system. Personally, I don’t want anything to do with it. I’ve fallen for a few Ai created videos on YouTube. I couldn’t tell the difference. The snowstorm we had last weekend, someone made an avalanche photo for a neighboring town showing 12-15’ of snow covering the road. Looked 100% real. Its was faked by Ai. That story was circulating quite a bit around here. How easy would it be to take a coordinated effort using Ai and viral oats to shut down major highways for fun? Wouldn’t be hard at all. I’m teaching my kids that pretty much everything on tv and the internet is fake. It’s going to take increasingly harder efforts to keep young kids grounded in reality so they can sniff out the BS as adults. This isn’t a joke. I don’t have a problem improving my systems, I just don’t take it as life or death seriously anymore. Everything can change in an instant. Whoosh, gone.
