This morning i listened to a "podcast" sorta of a man talking about the Zero Accountability Culture. There is a GROUP of Zero Accountability People, I found this to interesting and a "tip" for dealing with some of my renters. Perhaps there is room for accountability by enforcing the paperwork, the lease, our agreement... training. Interesting. The man was on FaceBook - cantcancelrob. I've not listened to his other videos. This video was actually about Black Women Are The Most Obese Group. I"m applying it differentl, not judgmental towards their weight/height ratios.

new pre-screening question: Are you a member of the ZAC?
just kidding!
But, yeah - that does seem to be a pretty good way to summarize/label so much of what is prevalent in our society today. --72.218.xx.xxx |

First off most of the problems of obesity are result of soft drinks that contain corn cyrup along with high amounts of sugar in a lot of the foods, The EU standards have banned many foods which do not meet more stringent standards. I buy pasta and pasta sauce from Italy has the free trade deal is allowing us to shift away from foods that contain high sugar levels, salt levels and chemical that cause health problem. In Japan there are few people who are obese as food and diets are more healthy along with good health care where life expectancy is longer. I had to bring my glucose level down where I go Costco to buy bread with zero sugar along avoid a lot of products that contain high sugar and salt levels which brought down blood pressure without medication. After reduced sucrose levels where found was able to eat less. I have normal body to mass index. In life you have to make tough decisions where avoid going into ICU. Over weight people do not live as long. In the seventies when went to beach very seldom seen a obese person. So in the end obesity effects all people.

There are a whole lot of factors that go into someone’s physical, mental and emotional development. One of the factors is how that group of people are viewed by society. I am certainly not going to judge someone until I have walked a mile in their shoes.
I have had enough tenants to know each is an individual. My tenants all have plenty of accountability, especially after they have been with me for awhile. Takes them a minute to learn that I treat them with respect, and appreciate them.
YMMV --172.59.xx.xxx |

Busy, you rent to the ones who understand accountability and judge the ones who don’t. Everybody judges and landlords make a living doing it. --174.240.xxx.xxx |

Case in point with the new generation.
I have a renter in her 50s who is otherwise decent and pays on time. But she has grandkids that come through the backyard to visit her and leave both gates open to the alley and the street, basically saying "Come on through!" to the whole neighborhood.
The amount of traffic is like a street. At first I thought it WAS just neighborhood kids.
Since we rent out the garage, and tenant has lawn furniture... and the neighborhood isn't the greatest..... once a tenant had a car broken into, and at other times bikes stolen.... this is not good having all that traffic walking by belongings. So I put signs up on the gates "Private Property Keep Out".
Grandma indignantly tells me "Those are my grandkids!"
After I explained to her that I was thinking of the tenants, not wanting their lawn furniture stolen or cars broken into, she agreed it was a good idea.
Please can you ask them to close the gates. Sure she says.
Every single day since, both gates are wide open, ALWAYS.
The kids are deliberately doing it now, because the landlord asked them not to!
Its just so disrespectful, both of us and the property. Seems a new generation of jerqs is on the way

JO, you can’t be accountable for the tenants. If the gates are unlocked and anyone can open them, simply shutting them aren’t going to keep thieves out. If other tenants leave their stuff outside in an area easily accessed and it get stolen, that’s on them. --174.240.xxx.xxx |

You're absolutely right, its their own stuff that will be stolen. Still, I couldn't help but point out these youngsters deliberately don't close the gate because an adult asked them to do it. Hateful little monsters

That's true but I've found from experience a door or gate left open, a light left on overnight spotlighting whats in the garage is a temptation in some of these neighborhoods to people walking by.
You're better off I think... if the ideas never cross their minds, lol.

Everyone is a victim mind site.
I subscribe to the idea of creating your own good luck.
Here is the sad flip side to it. I believe in choice when it comes to how one's life turns out. I was taught that if you work hard enough, that despite road blocks being thrown up at you, you can overcome the biggest challenges provided. With those choices is the right to screw up your life. It doesn't come with the obligation for me to bail anyone out when they exercise those rights to choose.
So maybe getting that tattoo on your forehead wasn't a good idea after all. Maybe going into debt for $250,000 by age 21 so you can decide what you want to do with your life and your liberal arts degree wasn't a good idea either. Maybe character does matter - then again, you are allowed to turn a blind eye to it to. I should be allowed to judge you on your character, your willingness to follow rules and pay your debts. Sometimes it hurts to hear these truths.
