The national forest near us is reportedly closed.
How does one close down a forest? Do they kick the animals out? Do the trees get uprooted? I agree with Mapleleaf - at some point the surplus should end.
I think the forest will be alright. Does it really need us anyway? It is a forest after all. It was there before humans and with any level of grace, it will be there after we are all gone. --67.140.xx.xxx |

Ray, if that was near me, I would have to go hike it. Just cause, ya know, the stupidity of it all, etc.. Good time to do it too, less people. All the NPC’s think it’s actually “closed”. --24.152.xxx.xx |

Got a text yesterday from a tenant who works for the VA. She said that she is worried about rent payment next week because of the shutdown.
This has been her job for long enough that she should have prepared for it. She has not. She said they still have to go in but they might not get paid, even tho they will get back pay.
I have two other VA workers and neither of them have called to whine.
I will grant the first lady a stay of execution, but late fees apply. Not my fault she didn't plan ahead. I told her the shutdown is just like a holiday. It happens (nearly) every year so she should be ready for it. I don't allow people to skip because of Christmas either. --47.248.xxx.xxx |

The annual budget threat to close down the country. It is getting really tiresome and has about as much effect as crying wolf. I can't be the only one who doesn't believe them and I no longer care. They will get it put together before the country goes into foreclosure and the Chinese call it in to cover our debts. --76.178.xxx.xxx |

Oregon, I don’t care and I’m not listening any more. It’s like a housefly that keeps trying to land on your face. --174.249.xx.xxx |
