I don't care if you are left or right, but if you're a landlord, youre definitely a target and a target more and more each day. Especially with the craziness in everyday prices. They need to blame someone and youre the easiest. Moreso from one group over the other. Find out what makes them tick before you sign. Be safe.

I'm in tears...I just broke down when I heard. I'm not someone who worries about "celebrities" but man...he was younger than my youngest son, the father of two little girls...

I've been watching him since he was like 25. I do not agree with him on so many many many things - but I fully admired his ability to spark conversation and debate and ideas between young people CALMLY and POLITELY and with humor and gravitas. I'm someone who enjoys the whole process of a thoughtful debate and he was top notch.

After the other day's murder of a lovely young girl...the killings of the kids at church...now another school shooting in Colorado...I'm just distraught about the evil that is running so rampant in our politics.

It's his calling and his journey, as a christian, it is sad to hear the news, but it's still under God's sovereignty. Even though we are living in a world full of evil, we always have hope in heaven.

Been a fan of Charlie since he first popped up on YouTube and totally agree with his views when you understand why he said what he said.

I LOVE how he would encourage people who disagree to come forward and discuss. Intelligent, reasonable, compassionate debate.

I just read an article criticizing him. They took tiny sound bites or quotes out of context. He comments were based on the big picture or long term or unintended consequences of decisions, based on facts not feelings, always with personal liberty and freedom in mind.

To bring this back around the LLing, you never know what lurks in people's heads. Prioritize YOUR personal safety and the safety of your family when dealing with STRANGERS (prospects and applicants).

YOU might be a tough guy carrying, but your daughter at home needs to be insulated from the STRANGERS we interact with., including the residents we approved.

I disagreed with a lot of his conclusions but not with his reasons for reaching those conclusions, if that makes sense.

He was extremely talented with debating and having people reach logical conclusions instead of just going on knee-jerk emotion and illogical so called statistics which today's Left does.

Example: The Left loves to say "poverty leads to crime" but if that were the case, poor Asian immigrants would be committing crimes at the rate of native minorities which they are not. It is actually the other way around. Crime eventually leads to poverty.

My reaction has been to push back on the crapola online. I found myself cutting and pasting Amir Odom's podcast - he took a lot of time to find the long-form cuts of Charlie saying things that were then perverted to the short edits the haters were using to vilify him. He did a great job of "proving them wrong" and honoring Charlie with his own stories and anecdotes.

Here's my thoughts.

I agree, I believe by far the larger portion are those that are following along with the crowd and are being deceived because they don't know any better. Then there are those that are at the center of evil, that are consumed by evil, and do not want to be exposed by the Light. I don't worry about which are which, that's God's realm. My job according to the scriptures is to spread the seed of Truth with those I come in contact with, to show them God's Love. With some it is easy, with others it is more difficult especially when they are so indoctrinated into the twisted lies they have been fed that they throw it back in your face. It would be easy to say I'm done interacting with them and pull back and hole-up, but that would not be fulfilling the role I was created for. Charlie was a good example of how to handle the vitriol that comes from deceived people. In doing so, I'm sure he was able to save more than a few and that was his burden for following Christ and ultimately his reward in heaven.

Since we are on the subject, do you believe it is possible for someone to lose their salvation?

And, what do you believe happens to someone when they die? The bible says the dead know nothing, does it not?

I found it so so difficult not to judge, but it is important to discern, not to judge. My daughter would joke about people she doesn't like, using a phrase "bless his soul".

We really don't know if someone who acts out today will be saved one day or not. We leave it to the lord.

I agree with what Mike said, our job as believer is to share the good news to people who come to our way. Or say it more bluntly, to help open their eyes, so they will accept and seek..

6, loose it? The short answer is No, there are several scriptures that reflect that such as John 10:24-30.

However, there are some passages such as Matthew 12:31 that point to ways in which by your own doing and without influence from Satan that you can deny your salvation but there are a ton of IF's that are too many to go into here and it is such a fine line that it is almost irrelevant to the discussion. That would be a better discussion for you to have with your pastor.
