Thanks for all the words of wisdom a few weeks ago. I was trying to get a low offer accepted, and the seller's agent was not helping much, despite the property sitting since February. I walked away, as suggested, painful though it was! I did leave the door open. That was July 23. Today a text from the seller's agent: Hi DD, just wondering if there is an improvement in the purchase price for XXX.
I am looking at another property, super close to the main transit line, which is #1 for the property I buy, which will become a rooming house. This first house has an overall "better" price broken down by room, and has parking and is on the main biking/walk trail through town,so I am interested to see how low I could get them. Doing two properties is not an option at this point. Suggestions please?!? --23.233.xx.xxx |

i would call the agent back and say improvement on the price? you tell me you are the one in touch with the seller, then shut up and see what they say. ask about owner financing. have you done research? are taxes behind or in foreclosure? is there a mortgage or judgments causing problems. --38.248.xx.xxx |

"I'm about to put an offer in on another property that is similar but a better location. I can only buy one. Does the seller have a better price he can offer me?" --104.230.xxx.xxx |

They are the sellers. What are they selling the home for in Aug? If you like the number then consider. Otherwise walk your money to the other deal. Or take them both ! --172.59.xxx.xxx |

THANK-YOU!!!!
Ken, there was a fire, they are tired. Thanks for the reminder to close my mouth. (I like to talk.)
Plenty- Has been for sale for 7 months, still sitting.
Robin- Said this verbatim, THANKS!!!!!!!!
They gave me a much lower # to consider, not as low as what I would like, but we are talking again.
You guys are AMAZING!!!!!!
Not sure which property will actually suit best now. --23.233.xx.xxx |
