Watching the news, the difference between the protesters in California and the protesters in Florida. In California they block traffic and set cars on fire. In Florida, they march out into the road when the light is red and quickly march back off the road when the light turns green so they are out of the way of traffic.
Same sort of people, probably the same sponsors paying for it, but in Florida it has been announced all over the news that drivers are allowed to, and should, simply run them down if they try to block the car.
It isn't so dramatic with rentals (I hope) but the same effect. Let tenants know that rent is not permitted to be late. That landlords do file for eviction immediately, and after that has been done once, rent is not late again. Make sure they know that consequences are real and not an empty threat. --76.178.xxx.xxx |

Watched a news clip of some Florida (?) Sheriff giving a speech when the uprising started in CA.
I am paraphrasing here but basically he said if you block the streets you will get run over. If you loot you will get arrested. If you throw a brick at our officers we will notify your next of kin where to collect your body.

This guy is Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey.

It does, my wife works with the children at Church. You can tell the ones that have discipline applied consistently, it's a world of difference from those that don't. Adults are no different. I find it interesting that there is a whole segment of society that believes it hurts the psyche, thus is unloving, to admonish bad behavior. I see it quite the opposite. --209.205.xxx.xx |

it all comes down to the courts too for evictions.
as you know, in some states you can evict a tenant in a month; in other states its many months of nonsense and continuances, and mediation and at the end they seal the eviction and the process starts all over with a new landlord that get screwed over. no discipline, no lesson learned for losers --172.58.xxx.xx |

In Florida protesters are not a protected class. If you wanna play in the street, you might get run over. Some sheriffs come right out and say if you want to shoot an intruder, please come to our shooting class so your aim is excellent.
