The other day I posted about former owner's complaint's about shared ownership/maintenance of driveway into our HUD home. I indicated that I wished I could draw a diagram.

I realized I didn't need to; the Appomattox County GIS map shows it. Anybody interested, 52A11E is ours, 52A11 left of driveway parcel (cutover no bldgs), 52A11B Complainers actual house. Line left of address marked 4259 is our driveway back into 52A11E, ours.

I wrote him a letter advising that I'd get a no trespass notice through the Sheriff if he bothers us again. As you can see, proportionately, he owns the greatest part of land bordering the whole drive!

I once lived in a place where several houses fronted a river and the road to them from the highway was shared by all. Arguments happened and one of the owners of a particular house simply cut a second road from the highway about 10 feet or so from the first one. I'd wager they made a deal with the landowner to do this, whatever it might have been. So some people used one road and this family used the other one.

No one is living at 4259 Horseshoe Rd, I searched the property records and was thinking of making an offer on it, could easily dozer a road through it to our property, but he'd fins something else. He's just bitter because his daughter lost it. If you notice on the parcel his house is on, there is a cutout for us if we need more drainfield space in future! It was permitted that way.
