I don't think wishing an evicted tenant good luck is being on their side - it's just a professional courtesy. I've seen a judge wish a miserable, abusing horrible parent good luck before - as they took their kids away. Just a bench courtesy.

In NY they passed the Clean Slate act which basically hides criminal records after a certain amount of time. Even felonies.

So why doesn't a legal whiz like Jeffry Watson who is 100% pro landlord take this case up?
If he would defend the keeping the records sealed but intentionally take the fall in the ring, wouldn't the US Supreme court uphold the Ohio level decision making it a national one?
He would lose the case but advance the cause? For a small-town attorney, just making it to the Supreme Court is huge
