Marketing Cost (by Ray-N-Pa [PA]) Posted on: Jun 9, 2025 1:15 PM

I am spending roughly about $4.000 in marketing for each house I end up buying. Last week I heard someone say that they are spending only $2,600. I am wondering how well others are doing and what methods they are having the best luck with in this unstable market.

There is a guy here that advertises on the radio constantly. I don't know how much that cost, but I imagine it wouldn't be cheap. --73.19.xxx.xx

Not newspapers. Local pennysaver type weekly flyers and restaurant placemats. --24.152.xxx.xx

Those free papers yield some of the best results consistently, good real estate cycle or bad. I can expect one and occasionally two purchases each year for roughly $1,600 in marketing.

These tend to be lower end houses. Because of the nature of the paper selling mostly used and more beat up stuff, sellers don't expect to get top dollar for these places. --98.17.xx.x
