Does anyone have any experience working closely with Urban Renewal in their city on a building project (rehab, etc), where you may have gotten a loan or grant from Urban Renewal?
Any experience transforming a multi-unit building, city block or neighborhood? Did you do it over time, big bang (all at once) or? Any pitfalls, failures, successes?
I'm just curious. I found a possible big project, but want to get feedback. --208.127.xx.xxx |

I have a friend that has tried to get funds from a redevelopment zone here to remodel a small multi with no success. Around here it's tough to get into the club, it's controlled by a handful of people that somehow end up getting most of the grant money. The City administers it and low and behold friends of past Mayors end up with most of the grant money. --209.205.xxx.xx |

Normally you gotta know somebody or pay to play. All the grants go to friends or family. Iapplied to do senior housing. But no luck --96.43.xxx.xxx |
