Regarding Pacific Palisades Fire Damages,

A good friend was fortunate in that his house did not burn down. However there was some damage as well as considerate smoke damage, the need to relocate for quite some time since utilities are not all on, etc.

As one might expect, I've been hearing about insurance companies making it particularly difficult for policyholders.

He has concluded he just can't handle the claim process himself.

I am certain that several law firms have jumped right in and are looking for clients to represent in dealing with the insurance and also looking for someone else to sue

in a separate action if they can find fault with some utility company or the city or county or state.

Does anybody have an opinion whether a law firm or public adjuster would be a better choice? --172.116.xxx.xxx

If you hired a law firm wouldn't they have public adjusters they use in claims? --75.11.xx.xx

public adjusters are set up for exactly this, i would assume they have attorneys available they have used in the past. my experience has been that once a public adjuster got involved the insurance companies stop fighting and start writing checks --38.248.xx.xxx

I'd be going for the Public Adjuster. They work for their money. And a lawyer is just going to hire such and put himself in the middle and bill the client. Pay more with a lawyer, get less! --172.56.xxx.xxx

When I had a seven-figure claim, I called Alex Sill and Copany. They have a half a dozen locations through the US --67.140.xx.xxx
