The City Housing Departments Code Enforcement Showed up today right on time, 11:00am in North Hollywood, CA. I had my driveway sliding metal gate closed. The inspector wanted inside to being the inspection. I told him that "today" was not going to be the First Inspection, since the City never sent me notice, with a 30 day period to shape up my property before violations were taken.

He said non-sense and said they sent me notice via the United States Postal Service, to my address in West Hills, CA. And, they posted notices on my building in March listing today's inspection. Plus they sent notices to my tenants alerting them of today's inspection.

I thanked the inspector for giving me his "best" set of lies.

First, my address in West Hills is a Rental Home that I hadn't lived in, in over 15 year. That tenant who received the March Notice, had already moved back to Japan, and she faxed over to me the inspection notice, just a few days ago.

Second, No one posted on this property any prior inspection notice. My manager, my tenants and myself never found any.

Third sending my tenants notices by mail and following up with phone calls urging them to tattle tale on any issues, problems or needed upgrades. (It's not enough that I spent $40,000 putting on a new roof last month and I'm having the property's exterior painted next month for around $17,000 to $26,000. Depending on any issues.

So the inspector and I began screaming, so he called his supervisor. He stated limited information, just saying I claim not to have received notice. So the inspector said he would mail out notice and come back next week!

I told the joker inspector that the City and State "Codes" state that I have the right to 30 days notice prior to the SCEP inspection, giving me time to ready the property. AND, I have my State and Federal rights to deny any inspection, not accompanied by a real court order.

So finally I told the inspector about another case with this same property, that I proved in a State court that the City Housing Department lied, covered up and cost me thousands in legal bill and repairs, that were ruled unnecessary. I gave the inspector that case number.

I also told the inspector that I've been dealing with the "money making" housing department for over 40 years and they are all crooks.

He then whispered something under his breath. Like he knows how to get me. So I volunteered that the City Housing Department, the City Attorneys office and other have tried to confiscate my "guns" and revoke my carry permit. But the task of collecting over 150 of them isn't something anyone wants. (He did not know that in court when I revealed I had 150 to 200 guns, I was talking about my contractor business, with my grease guns, paint guns, water jetter guns, pressure washer guns, nail guns, staple guns and so on... not my guns used for protection within my Jewelry days.

Had I not stood my ground and refused this 1st inspection, then in a few months of the city throwing my stuff in the mix, I could loose this property. In 1998, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2017 to today, that's what the City inspectors do, more violations, more repairs and permits to pay for and pull. --47.155.xx.xxx

Your not kidding NE. The City wants me to prioritize on getting vacant units up to code so the can force Section 8 tenants down my throat. While my long term good tenants who pay rent on time have to wait unit I deal with vacant units and units being evicted.

Steve, when I was in court, 1 or 3 cases to take my guns away, I said I'm going to pull out one of my guns and shoot myself in the mouth. It was a transparent squirt gun that had water inside. I had it cleared for court presentation, the bailiff knew it, not the judge or his two clerical workers. --47.155.xx.xxx

In today's episode: Robert J sneaks a fake gun into court to "shock" the judge and clerks with a threat to kill himself.

In a surprising twist, the court sees the "gun", believes it is real, hears the threat, and says, "We'll allow it."

Look RJ, we all know you think you're some kind of big, hotshot Cali landlord fighting "the system" like a modern day Robin Hood fighting the evil Prince John and Sheriff of Nottingham. And for reasons unknown to me, there are some on this board who normally I regard as quite reputable sticking up for you. But this... this is just silly. You brought a squirt gun to court and threated to kill yourself in front of a judge?

I'm just saying it. I believe you're a delusional fraud. I think perhaps you have a handful of rentals (5 or fewer)...and you might be or have been or have known some contractors in the past with enough info to "fill in" some of the details on your stories to make you appear slightly creditable. But you repeatedly invent stories that are outlandish, illegal, and "shocking" to seek attention for yourself. I don't know why you do this, but the evidence is here and has been plain for all to see for years. Why it has been tolerated up to this point when others have been banned for far lesser infractions is a mystery to me, but it's not my forum and I don't get to set the rules.

Jeffrey... it's time to make a decision. Ban him or ban me. At this point, it's either sanity or RJ. This forum needs to make a decision. If we both stay, I'm going to keep quickly, directly, and strongly calling out all of his false information and stories. He's a crack pot, and this forum will be better for his absence.

P.S. To my friends and colleagues here: If it's my head on the chopping block, then I wish you all well. It's been great, but it's time for the truth to shine. I've believed that from day 1, and so now it's time to throw down the gauntlet.

Sid, I like you and wish to continue reading your post and advise. I doubt you will be banned.

As well, Robert J has also given some good advice before. It sometimes comes in the form of colored TV vs. black and white. People just need to use common sense to understand.

I have also read on here before, just a few weeks ago in fact, where Jeffrey has asked Robert J if he would see him at a conference and hoped to see him again. With that, we can know that Robert J is a legit LL and a friend.

Where he is at is certainly run by a corrupt government and the woke. Who wouldn't have these kinds of stories in that environment? Are my lenses fogged up? --73.19.xxx.xx

At California High Prices I once owned myself, without partners, over 100 apartment units. A dozen single family homes, a couple strip malls and some triple net properties. On top of that I have many partners for larger apartment properties, some TIC (tenancy in Common), LLC's and some Stock Held investment in real estate.

And I'm a contractor, developer, investor, landlord and property manager. Licensed, Bonded and over worked.

When I took a Mr. Landlord loan in 2007, my reported real estate taxable net income for 2006, exceeded 1 million dollars. My tax returns were handed over and the lender confirmed this.

I am in the real estate business. Or I was. Now I'm in the control Damage business -- because from 2/1/2020 thru 3/1/2024, No Landlord in L.A. could evict someone for non-payment of rent. --47.155.xx.xxx

You are not telling the truth or are just not very business smart. Because you keep doing the same garbage over and over again and nothing changes. You're constantly complaining about it.

As an example, I used to hate mowing the lawns when I started out. I did it -- but complained about it. When we made enough money, I hired it out. Now I don't complain about lawns any more.
