Hello MikeA,

I have the impression that you are good with economics. I have happened upon a few economics' college textbooks. One of them is macroeconomics copy right 1995. Another is intermediate microeconomics copy right 2000. And yet another is microeconomics copy right 2008.

Is it a waste of time reading economics books this old, or is it still relevant enough to apply to get a basic education on the subject?

I suppose my concern would be messing myself up if it were to give me the wrong information to use in todays world of economics. However, if it would still give me a good foundation to start then I plan on trying to read and understand them with myself being the teacher.

Thank you for your time.

The basics have remained relatively unchanged for 50+ years. Some of the examples, particularly in the micro side, are probably dated missing things like globalization and internet influences. I would start with macroeconomics for a broad understanding of economic principles. --209.205.xxx.xx

What is on your mind 6xer?

I am thinking you are wondering where the heck are we. We are some unsecure ground. It is tough to say what direction things will be going in. It wouldn't take that much to rattle such a spoked market with so many outside forces pushing on it. I believe firmly we are much closer to the peak than any valley at all. I would be reducing my risk exposure. --67.140.xx.xxx

The other side of the coin: if Gaza is stable, peace occurs in Ukraine and the tariffs create trade deals - there is still spring in the real estate cycle. We are still closer to the peak than the valley though --67.140.xx.xxx
