Just had a late 20s inquirer try to pretend they are renting a huge single family raised ranch with 2 car garage for $1100 INCLUDING all utilities! What a deal!
Turns out this young lady has never lived in an apartment and is living with mommy...and she's married! Seems mommy wants her daughter and son in law out of her house.
She purposely did not give me her full current address, just the town. I asked "so you are renting a SFH with all utilities included?"
*crickets*
We have gone through the young-tenant-first-time-apartment-training and don't want to go down that road again.
The purposeful deception is the most disturbing part of it all since they've been looking to move out since February.

I operate the same way bc too many dregs pretend they don’t have landlord references to shield bad references. My criteria is clear: three years worth of contiguous favorable references and none can be from family or friends. --75.75.xxx.xxx |
