It's nothing new. Apparently Brad didn't notice that we've already been talking about it here for about 24 hours now. :)

To be fair to my friend Brad: I'd rather 10 people post the same useful piece of info 10x than only one person post it 1x and I miss it.

A friend of mine sent me an email copy of correspondence from their business's law office. For now, they are recommending if you have not filed yet... wait. Get everything ready to file if it turns out we have to, but there's no need to jump the gun with 26 more days until the compliance deadline.

EXCEPT...imagine the crash of servers if they DO say you need to file and everyone who waited until the last day tries to file same day...it will be on those who waited as no one has officially said not to yet.

Ken, the eviction moratorium was deemed unconstitutional as well but that didn't stop the Brandon/Heels Up Regime from ignoring it. They've been acting unconstitutionally the entire 4 years.

Yes, as an IT pro I am well aware of waiting for the last moment and crashing servers... sort of like a recent famous boxing match.

My plan is to file on the 29th, if the requirement resumes. Until then... nope. I will also thoroughly document the process with screens shots, time stamps, and videos so that if for some reason their servers are still overwhelmed at that point, I can at least take a crack at appealing the fine. Might work, might not.

There's a famous saying in IT: "Once it's online, it's out there forever." Granted, this filing isn't "online", but once your info is captured in a database, there's no guarantee it will be purged forever from all the places where that data gets backed up, even if the SCOTUS makes a ruling that says the Govt must purge it.

That's why I wait: I don't trust the Govt, period.

Concise videos each day. he submitted his resume to Vivek and Elon for a nonpaid position reducing govt spending and increasing govt efficiency. Receipt has been confirmed and is being reviewed.

Brian said govt likely spent billions setting up this BOI nonsense and his recommendation would be to scrap the whole thing, wipe the submitted info data base clean and go after the IRS to reduce spending. Only one area of many he outlined in another video showing what he submitted to Vivek and Elon.

Others here have valid concerns about info already submitted even if data base ends up scrubbed in the future.

Note that I was just joking about Brad not noticing. I agree that I'd rather two people post it than none! Sorry if my post came off more harshly than I intended.

As for last-minute worries, as was said in the other thread, I don't see any way that an appeal is going to happen by the end of the year. We're looking at months and months of arguing probably before anything changes again.

What upsets me most is that I didn't want to file until the last day, even if the servers crashed.

Yeah, it is pretty trivial to file. I run the IT division of a firm that is an accounting firm. We literally sent out a Constant Contact email to everyone with the simple instructions on how to do it themselves when they were ready. And that those who wanted help could call us. A few did -- usually either older people who just don't want to think about it any more -- or really wealthy owners who don't care at all that we'll charge them for the time to do it.

But most just follow the instructions and do it themselves. Definitely not a $200 worth event for most. :)
