I have a very simple approach to the applicants who have the fake online ESA “ certificate “. I do not have an ESA….I have a pet. If my pet can get the same certificate through the same online site, then it is not acceptable . I answer the questions making it very clear that my dog is a pet, I do not have any disability or need for an ESA and that I just need to bypass housing restrictions. Every time my pet is accepted as a fake ESA. I got an email from one of the site’s that they can get me a letter to get the dog labeled as in training to be a “ Psychiatric SERVICE DOG”!!! Big difference between an ESA and a Service Dog. I don’t know the legality of having to accept the “ in training” or if they set you up to actually make it a service dog .
