With a small air compressor and shop vac where the cover is removed then all dust taken out then should not take to long. A refrigerator is a heat pump where the heat is taken out of fridge and freezer compartment. If the coils are cleaned then less electricity is used along with life of fridge is extended. Every six months then check how much dust accumulates. Most newer fridges have the coils on bottom with a fan there. Where the older had the coils on the back. --216.110.xxx.xxx |

I was invited to a Landlord Conference with only "seasoned" professionals. Everyone was too pig headed, too stubborn in their ways. This exact subject came up, and I was asked my opinion on this subject matter.
So I said to the guests, let me show you some slides on the overhead projector. I showed them my Storage Room for a West Hollywood Apartment Complex. It was stuffed full with Refrigerators, stoves and some wall air conditioning units.
These were not modern side by side refrigerators! Most of them were single door with a freezer compartment on top. But I did have a few top freezer, lower refrigerators.
You see, because I set up a maintenance schedule, my apartment refrigerators never failed in this property. The only reason I would replace a old single door or old top freezer two door unit is because the tenant moved and I wanted to get TOP RENT!
Cleaning a refrigerator has nothing to do with keeping a tenant happy, its preserving my appliances to out last a tenancy and save me big bucks. --45.76.xxx.xx |
