I have been trying to play around on FB a little to see if I can learn how it works. On the rental sites there is a lot of talk about scammers scamming tenants. I looked on one group site today and saw this post listed yesterday, and a similar post from the same person a month ago. I guess he's still looking. I wanted to respond but I decided not to. The question in my mind is, well, not really a question, who is the scammer here. Can you tell?

"Need a 2 bdrm 1 bath house or trailer NO APARTMENTS and most allow my ESA Dog under 1200 a month. And if you think you're going to scam me think again I know how to bus scammers and I do know how to look up addresses in the deeds public records to find out who the owners are so if the property don't belong to you don't think about trying to scam me"
BTW, rents in this area are usually a lot higher. They haven't been that low in years. --73.108.xxx.xxx |

I admin a housing group on FB - private, must agree to rules to join, etc. - and I kick those sorts of folks out. Got an attitude at the get go? No group for you. Find your housing elsewhere.
Had a big blow up the other day with lots of people kicked out or denied membership. It's real quiet now, just normal folks posting places or looking for places. --198.54.xxx.xxx |

He doesn't seem to be scamming anyone. He's pretty upfront about what an irrational loser he is. He's not going to trick any landlord that has any sense.

Adding: most of the "rentals wanted" ads are folks with obvious problems that have the additional problem of believing that there are nice big rentals out here for half the market rent.
If I wanted to rent my house out for way below market rent, I could find a super well qualified tenant. No reason to take a felon with 2 emotional support pitbulls and bad credit and give the price break to him instead of someone who would pay the rent in time and take good care of my house. --76.178.xxx.xxx |
