I went to one of the properties today to drop off some supplies for the painter. What do I see in the yard, but a large moving van! We've had a lot of rain in the past few days so the ground is saturated, and I could see damage to the lawn from tires (it is spelled out in the lease that vehicles are never to be on the lawn!). I rang the doorbell and the wife answered and said they were moving some boxes to a storage unit (I was able to see in the door and it sure looked like a move-out in progress! Hubs wasn't there at the time). I called the him for an explanation and he said they were planning on giving notice to pay and be out the end of October. (Yeah right!) Regarding the lawn, he said he didn't want to block the other residents - I'm sure they would have been willing to move their cars. He texts me this evening saying his sister would be looking for a place in the near future and asked when the apt upstairs would be available and the price. Uhhh...nope! --74.130.xx.xxx |

1. Driving the moving van into the yard and creating ruts in the grass
2. Missing shower rod, shower hooks, and new liner
3. Broken window blinds
4. Not cleaning the appliances
5. Not cleaning the bathroom
Yard damage – with car or moving van $100

I texted a guy that was late on rent. He said he was an hour away in another town but would get the money in before the bank closed.
Then I got a text from his neighbor saying that they were loading stuff into a moving van.
I drove over and met the guy there. I simply said that I was happy it was him since someone with a moving van was cleaning out his place but he was an hour away.
His face turned red and he started stammering.
I did my walk thru right then since he was there.
Like the idea of just following the moving truck. Doubt I do that because of the time involved, but it is a good idea. --107.147.xx.xx |

At move in at this point, I am giving them a list of prices what common move out items will cost.
