Winds are gusting to 60, power on & off, waiting for the storm surge. Busy past couple of days securing rentals before the storm. Feel bad for everyone in this path. Yes, stay safe. Half my family lives close to the path and chose to stay. Praying for everyone there.
I know it would be difficult to keep us posted as the power sometime is out for days. Brother-in-law is a lineman who lives there but will be working with crews to restore power in many of the states affected.

Power finaly back on, Anna Maria Island where I grew up completely flood with 7-9 foot storm surge. Several warnings about storm surge but many did not leave and were surprised when they got up and found all cars ruined. Five dead so far and still looking. Now fight from insurance companies was damage from windblown water “covered” or rising water only covered under Federal Flood insurance. --94.140.xx.xxx |

60 minutes did an interesting segment on insurance and how so many have let their customers down, either by hanging them out to dry or taking so long to approve or have repairs done customers had to take it on themselves. One couple they highlighted was making their own repairs while continuing to pay their mortgage AND their insurance premiums. --75.11.xx.xx |
