So developed a seroma after chemo and doctor touched it and it got worse no he won't help and none else will get involved. Chemo people fled when I mentioned it. Primary care acted like a "girl" I thought he was going to faaint . Supposedly they resorb but it's hard to walk and limited seating. Anybody have one go away on it's own? No real medicine here in NJ. No pain meds and hard to ge treatment for elderly, agee78 now

I’m so very sorry to hear about this….Is there perhaps a highly regarded “teaching” university nearby, that might be helpful? --99.117.xxx.xx |

Sorry to read this. I have no experience with it but from a quick Google search I'm holding faith for your healing. Ask another doctor. Keep asking. Get a patient advocate on your team to health. And know I am praying for you. --172.58.xx.xx |

I had to look up seroma; now that I know what it is, I might have some suggestions for you. Massage, gentle massage of the area, starting at the edges. Multiple times a day.
Reason for this would be to encourage the fluid to seep back out of the space in which it had seeped. Fluid moves in our bodies towards an injury, but wasn't finding its way out. Without asking for details of where the seroma is located, but because you mentioned limited walking and seating, that may be easier said than done. I have a scar on one finger where I slipped with a new blade in the utility knife and nearly severed a dime-sized piece of flesh. The urgent care doctor said a flap of skin like this usually will not survive, as I had cut deep and more than 3/4 of the circle. Well, I was determined to not lose that flap, as I knew that finger would forever be tender without that little bit of flesh above the bone. So, I massaged. I started with just bouncing gently, then as I felt things loosening, got firmer and firmer. I was doing this many, many times a day. Once the bandage came off, I continued. Now four, five, six years later, I massage it whenever I see that the bump has raised up again. It stays flat longer and longer now, though just now I took a look, and gave it a quick massage.
So, my suggestion is to gently massage that area, with your hands if you can reach it. If its in a location that is harder to reach, Amazon may have some sort of ball on a stick type of massager that could work, or, a small, firm pillow could be sat on and gently wiggled around to work those fluids back out. I have a small, firm pillow that would work great for that, so I know that is available. My little pillow has a saying on it : ' No outfit is complete without dog hair.' And one of our beagles would take it up to her high perch, the bed we made for our beagles over top of their crates, to sleep on. Cutest thing ever to see a dog go find her pillow and bring it up to lay her head on. Our beagle sends you love. And I do too. --172.59.xx.xx |

Check this:
Badyaga can be used to treat hematomas and other skin problems, such as bruises and sprains.
Badyaga contains flint needles that stimulate the skin mechanically, and its irritating properties can help improve blood circulation and speed up the absorption of bruises.
I did not use it myself, but heard someone mention that name. --71.105.xx.xx |

Ask your chemo doctor for a referral to a Hyperbaric oxygen therapy. They are good for speeding up the healing but I don't know if they can start while you are still going through chemo, doesn't hurt to ask. --80.28.xxx.xxx |
