There are a couple realtors in my area that deal with commercial at times. I will see their signs up with commercial sitting on the top.
Finding someone to lease the property could be a possibility since they are dealing with that type of property and they talk to a lot of people in their profession.
I don't see how it could hurt unless they want you to sign an agreement not to look elsewhere. That and depending on what they want as a finder's fee.
Just because they find someone doesn't mean you shouldn't follow thru with your own due diligence. --107.147.xx.xx |

I'm slowly moving out of the residential rental game and going mostly commercial. My advice: don't pick just ANY realtor. The commercial realtor segment is like a fraternity. Lots of deals done via text/email or over a beer/meal. Never hits the open market. Then you have a few realtors who do commercial, but are still mostly residential. They are good at helping you buy one, but not leasing one. Then the residential only realtor will cost you more $$ than you can imagine (buying/selling or leasing) in the commercial sector. The commercial realtor will look down this person most of the time....
SO... if you want it leased, get a commercial realtor that has been in the game a LONG time (5 yrs+). Very well liked, easy to get along with and has done numerous small and large deals in your area. They will have the connections and know the market. --170.203.xxx.xx |

T is so spot on.......not all realtors are created equal. If you can find yourself someone with a CCIM designation.
I have had better luck paying referral bonuses and using the chamber to network at business after hour events --24.101.xxx.xxx |
