Our turnover involving an eviction is still educating us. We noticed big ants inside the unit, even though it is in the woods, we'd never had any real problem before. Fast forward to today, DH wanted to vacuum out the vents since they seem to have a lot of debris in them. We are getting ready to sign a lease with someone that has already expressed having a problem with insects. He was using an upright with clear dirt receptacle so he could see what went into it. He said it was about a half a box of CEREAL! There's no way it was an accident. They had no children, unless they had some visit? This was down in the vents! We had cleaned floors already, so ant mystery was solved. --216.126.xx.xxx

Big ants, I tend to think of carpenter ants. So, perhaps the wet spring has left some soft wood in the framing following a leak ? I'd check, anyway....

We put ant bait down and sprinkled some sevin dust around the outside but maybe we ought to spray the carpenter ant spray in the blue plastic bottle, I think Beyer makes it. Thanks --216.126.xx.xxx
