My rental lower end vanity countertops usually have the cheaper cultured marble, but as I look for one for my personal remodel, I've found some fancier that aren't much more $ & incl the sink & holes. For myself 1st & maybe rentals, do you have any thoughts on:
- Crushed Marble (I loved the look, actually torn on all of these)
- Solid Marble
- Crushed Marble
- Quartz (I used it in 2 kitchens & know it's a tier below granite)
- Granite
- Sintered Stone
I like so many of these, I might have to flip a coin!

This is not a thread for the men of this forum! I’ve had enough discussions with my wife about these kinds of decisions, and she always picks something else in the end anyways. Let us know how you make out! --24.152.xxx.xx |

Buy what you like. According to your budget. I find it's not taken care of and it all wears the same. The better the products the more abuse gets tossed at it. Let us know your findings. --172.59.xxx.xx |

Quartz is the most durable (I don't know where you heard it's a tier below granite), but they all have pros and cons. Granite is a natural material so often has the nicest look, but needs to be sealed periodically (fairly easy to do). I don't know much about sintered stone, but all the man-made products are infused with resins so I think most will be similar in terms of durability and so on. The man-made products you can cut yourself...fairly easy if you need to trim or shape them between two walls. --64.38.xxx.xxx |

For rentals no matter how strong it can be broken. I like the Ikea wall mounted sink with porcelain sink. It is easy to have double sink which does not take up too much space. --216.110.xxx.xxx |

I buy prefab granite vanity tops from my local granite supplier for about $110. They come with a very nice rectangular sink and pre-drilled for faucet. --73.2.xx.xx |
