I love how there's no limit to how many Gmail accounts you can have. It makes it fast and easy to compartmentalize between all the various businesses we have going at one time.
The most recent Gmail account I activated, though, was suspended because of "misuse." Except I never actually got the chance to use it. No incoming, no outgoing, no usage at all. I created it in late April, just to pin down the name, but didn't use it in May or June. Today I was connecting a Roku account to it at the rooming house, and was wondering why my activation account for my new Roku TV wasn't coming through.
Now I can't access my new Roku account because they send the pin to confirm my identity to an email address that's locked while it's appealed.
It's weird they would flag it, when it's clearly a business-name email address, and no activity whatsoever.
We'll see if I get it back or not.
But that makes me leery about relying on this one, because it's going to be a lot more complicated than my usual biz accounts, especially since I plan on connecting Zelle to it also.
So--- before I go hinging a complicated business plan on Gmail keeping its head down and just doing its work correctly--- are people finding a better email to use that has fewer bots/interference but also sounds professional/isn't malware or spyware? In theory, I should have some email accounts with my domain name, but a bit beyond my current skill to figure out. --137.118.xx.xxx |

You should definitely use an email address from your domain name.
Your domain name registrar will certainly have the ability to set it up for you.
Call them. --157.131.xxx.xxx |

I pay google $6/month for my domain. It looks more professional and I can alias other email addresses as well. --172.58.xxx.xxx |

In most computers using Linux 17 Core operating system where using Thunderbird email along with Duck Duck go search engine then other Imac computers using Apple mail account where microsoft keeps reminding me that is third party Operating system. If windows 10 was kept in older computers then more and more unnecessary software then computers would be over loaded where the computer would slow down then would end up putting computers in junk or recycling where as long as the hardware is good then why replace computer where the norm is every 3 years. Also can online to find other email accounts not connected with Microsoft. With those search engines and gmail they are collecting information then selling to advertising companies where when go online you get ads then computer slows down. No matter which you use with gmail it is possible to stay out information collection where go into gmail account after viewing you tube on how to take out information. So they are talking about privacy while at the same time giving out information about your habits. --216.110.xxx.xxx |

Jason, I set up a weak website with GoDaddy. It is fine and I run it through my gmail account.
Are you getting a domain name for $6 a month that is tied to gmail?
Obviously I have not looked into this. --107.147.xx.xx |

Now I need to decide if I want to stay or try and switch everything over.
Can I keep my domain name if I switch servers I wonder?
Putting this on my ever growing list of things to check on.
While I was at the boot camp I had a discussion with a a guy that got hit hard by Google. He had all the details but basically his account was flagged and they dropped his Google voice number. That was the only number he had for all of his biz work. I think they froze his emails as well. Something about not following procedure? I believe he had it all set up as a business tho.
Too much other info to remember exactly what happened, but it did make me ponder how bad it could be if one company controlled it all and there was a glitch. --107.147.xx.xx |

"Our review found that your account was created or used with multiple other accounts to violate Google's policies. It appears the account might have been created by a computer program or bot."
Except it wasn't used with any other account because it was never used, period. Because it's a business account, and the biz it's connected to hasn't done anything customer-facing or b2b yet. The only thing that I actually did with it was load it up onto two devices so I could check my email.
I put out another request requesting clarification, but their bot wrote back saying it already had an open query out.
It's a good signal for me to start stepping back from the Google ecosystem. --137.118.xx.xxx |
