While the first rent increase 20.45 per cent the rent appealed failed where one January 5 rentals became vacant as there were no longer anymore rent appeals. The landlord moved out as he was raising the rent on four plex he owned illegally where I was under the rent registry where only raise for a above guideline increase. After that never heard a complaint about the rent as the condition of building in terms of appearance and function was improve. If nothing was done the building would become no longer livable as the heating system would be completely broken. Now rents in the province of Ontario are really high as there is not much new construction.
