I got a request for a viewing of one of my pool homes and when I sent her my requirements and an application this is what she sent back.

“I work for a school and they cover my rent as part of my package. So the rent is in their name”

Not sure who would be responsible for the damages or if the pool need servicing when dealing with a third party.

Doesn't matter if she does not -

1. apply and

2. qualify

She'd need to qualify to your standards - income and credit score come to mind.

I wouldn't worry about who's paying until you see an application.

Can you garnish the school as easily as you can garnish her?

It shouldn't matter where the money comes from in this case as long as she passes everything and signs on the bottom line.

Let her collect the money from the school and put it into your account. If the school makes a mistake it is still on her because she is living there.

Both my kids work for schools. Would be great if they got a housing allowance, especially since they are both virtual. --107.147.xx.xx

Basic weekly pool service is added into the rent, I sent her the application and like Bonanza & Zero suggested she must qualify and be on the lease if the school would decide not to pay. This is one reason why I have never had a co-signer on a lease.

In my market I would take that deal with her name and the school's name on the lease, signed by the board President or Business Manager, assuming her app checks outside of the money.

We have done this with businesses.

I don't see a bad attitude from her, yet.
