At the Mr.Landlord conventions, I always appreciated Vee's input on the rental business especially when it came to what we could or could not do in Ohio. One of the years that I went to the Mr.Landlord convention in Cleveland, he took several of us to a great restaurant close to the hotel. The restaurant was all cash and you got a lot of great food at a great price and he told us stories about himself. We had a great time.

I last heard from him on May 7th via text.
He said he was doing better now that his medicines are in order. That he wanted to hear from me as I was headed to the convention - I agreed to stop on by. He say "tell everyone I said hello, and I will be trying to do the hokey pokey after I get out of the hospital"
I tried to text him a couple of times about a week before my travel day and was getting ghosted. I now understand. RIP Brother. You will be remembered as the REAL MacGyver in the world.
For those of you who didn't know not only was he a landlord but he also looked after 100 acres of farm land in rural NE Ohio, not that far from me. He was the handyman's handy man.

Oh wow. I've been engulfed with Convention and have not been following all the discussions. My heart just dropped reading the news.
Vee's contributions were so appreciated by literally thousands here over the years and will be greatly missed.
Of your many tricks of the trade, my wife still recalls how you took time at one Convention to give her an individual lesson on how to detect and catch bedbugs:).

The news about Vee is so sad. When I had had my properties in Mt Vernon OH Vee was someone I could call when I was exploring a new idea. Talking with him was not only fun but also helped me look at the idea I was toying with from a different perspective. He was one of the first people I learned from here. --70.40.xx.xx |
