Hello, with the sometimes craziness of events out "there" who has a camera that theywear, or have at your vacant units, or have in your cars? Which makes and models and you using, and any recommendations?

I'm thinking of getting one for the car Too many idiots driving around here. Just got hit last fall. Turning right into small street and idiot passes me on the right and smashes my passenger side. 4 K damages. Just got my deductible back. Perp tried to pull me out of car also. --173.61.xxx.xxx |

I don't know anything about body cams but I have a Blackvue DS750 2 channel dashcam that works nicely. Fairly easy to install.
Try and pick one that has the 4K Sony STARVIS 2 sensor

I now video EVERY personal interaction with residents (rare!) and esp INSPECTORS!!
This paid off nicely when 2 inspectors did not know code and were rude. I have their lack of knowledge and unprofessional behavior on record and they know it! (I feel like Robert J!)
I tried a few gadgets from online - pen shaped camera in shirt pocket, just a sound recording, clip on camera,
I use my larger iPhone set on super wide angle, in my shirt pocket or handheld because it's great quality and I always have it.
I tell folks I am recording "because I have a bad memory:)". Police know that both parties are on better behavior when there is a recording happening.
Plus it can make for great content on YouTube!
Learn YOUR state wiretap laws. Inside a house has an expectation of privacy. In Indiana I only need ONE PARTY CONSENT - ME consenting. Not so in all states. Best to announce the recording and CYA.

I have a "Go-Pro" with a chest harness that I wear if there is the slightest inkling that there may be a "poor interaction" It's visible, and I make sure to tell them I am recording. If I am doing an inspection, its so that I don't forget something that I may need to respond to. Often, they know why I have it. --76.138.xxx.xxx |
