I came across a really good deal on some 60 inch shower stalls, base only at an auction last year. I’m finally getting around to using one. I priced out the surrounds for them and they are very expensive. I’ve been going back-and-forth whether I should tile it or just buy the surround And I was leaning against tiling it because I would have to line up the tile saw from someone since I don’t really have the need for one.
Well, I was over at a flip project of a buddy of mine today and he said hey, do you need a tile saw? I said maybe. He said he just went to buy some windows from somebody and the guy had an extra one that’s almost brand new, and he doesn’t need it, and I said sure! so I got my answer as to what I’m going do with my shower surround. Plus I have a tile saw now! --174.249.xx.xx |

Congrats on the saw, once you have something like this everything looks like a tile job, I use a serated blade on mine, it has done at least 12 bathroom jobs and a few kitchens backsplash and floor, keep cool water from a laundry soap container nearby to refill the tank - it gets warm quick, try to drain between jobs so the tank and pump don't get frost cracks. --184.59.xxx.xx |

Oh, we have done lots and lots of tile. I had one for many years and it finally bit the dust. Never replaced it because we had been doing so much click lock flooring. --174.249.xx.xx |

I love it when I find an unexpected bonus. Makes that tile job that much sweeter. --209.205.xxx.xx |

Yes Mike A, when I first saw it, I thought it was a table top Harbor Freight model. When I checked closer in my truck, it’s a Rigid with a collapsible table, wheels, etc.. Definitely a win. --174.249.xx.xx |
