In the roofing price thread, we were talking about liability waivers.
If you have a liability waiver could you post it here? Thanks!

I don't use that form, instead I use an independent contractor agreement instead.
I wonder which one is better --24.101.xxx.xxx |

One place I know liability wavers usually do work is at horse stables. Riding a horse is dangerous business and just being around them is also dangerous without specific knowledge of the horse and general safety measures.
When I got a horse as a kid, my parents had every single parent of every single one of my friends - even casual ones - sign a liability waiver to do anything with me around the horse or barn. They were serious enough about it that they had a lawyer draw it up, and I knew I would lose my horse if I broke that rule. Some kids would try and talk me into letting them ride without one - I knew better!
So when we got jet skis I made people sign waivers and my whole family made fun of me...luckily never needed them... --173.28.xx.xxx |

What you really want is an insurance certificate for at least 1 mil naming you as additional insured, and the address where the work is being done. --172.58.xxx.xx |

Liability waivers are not worth the paper they are written on. None of your insurances will cover a person who comes on to your property for the purpose of doing work.
An Independent contractor agreement might provide some relief but it must pass the 20 question IRS Employee Test. --99.150.xxx.xxx |
