Thinking of adding to my prequal:
How long have you had your current phone number/cell plan?
Anything less than 5 years is a DQ. I'm noticing the worst of the worst change their phone number every 6 mos to 3 yrs. --64.246.xxx.xxx |

I would avoid that area, phones go to kids and lovers. I like where Ken requested 10 years address history, copy of existing lease clearly indicates what finance level they are currently at. --184.59.xxx.xx |

I've changed my cell phone plan twice in the last year. The first time because the special offered reduced the phone bill by more than half. Then again when the bargain service did not perform up to my standards. I don't consider myself "the worst"
The deadbeats change plans often because they don't pay. They run up a big bill and then move to a different company. That should show up on a credit report. --76.178.xxx.xxx |

Oregon, I would be more interested in the change of actual phone numbers since they are easily ported.
Anyone who has changed their literal phone number puts up a red flag "I was trying to get away from so and so" --64.246.xxx.xxx |

Add to that, voicemail is not set up and voicemail is full. --73.159.xxx.xx |

Pretty soon you may not have anyone to rent to. I understand your reasoning though. --73.190.xxx.xxx |

Can't tell you how many phone numbers I have had over the past 5 years. So much so, when we tried to activate a new credit card and they wanted to verify us they couldn't. We hadn't updated our phone numbers at the bank the card was from yet.
So yep. We have the credit card, but we can't activate it!

Leafy,
Good thought. Interesting idea. Making me think.
My detective show (Blue Bloods) is overrun with commercials from TMobile AND Verizon both offering me a free iPhone 15 ( Oooo! Titanium!!) if I switch carriers before it’s too late.

Another thought…
There are legit reasons to change numbers - divorce, abusive ex, protective order, moved and wanted a local number, Son20,000 had to change when he weaned off our family plan, job provides a phone…
