I have several American Standard Cadet 3 toilets that came with a Fluidmaster 3" flapper (513A-016). The seal on the hard plastic flapper is removable and it went bad. I tried to find a replacement seal but couldn't find any. I had to buy the entire flapper unit for $12-$13. Has anyone found a replacement seal for this type of toilet flapper?

Gene, I think that was the golfball toilet, I just switch all mine to the mansfield 210211 flush kit, similar design, no flapper crapper kit. --184.59.xxx.xx |

Personally I would just replace the entire flapper. $12 is cheaper than a water bill increase.

Robin, thanks! I took your advice. I called the Fluidmaster using the phone number on the package of the new one I purchased. Since those flappers have a 10 year warranty, the representative told me to send them an email at techsupport@fluidmaster.com and include his name, my name, mailing address, phone number and pictures of the issue and they would send me a new seal. --99.165.xx.xxx |
