State Specific Question About: PENNSYLVANIA (PA)
Can anyone show me what Zillow reports look like from their perspective. Not what Zillow puts up on their website. But I would like to see what the landlord sees. TY. --216.49.x.xxx |

I can't answer your question, because I use my own screening tools - not Zillow's.
I want to caution you to not use your real, full name on a website, and definitely don't post your phone number for all us unknown strangers. You don't know who all may be reading here.
Just thinking of your safety. --68.229.xxx.xxx |

My name and phone number is plastered all of the internet anyway. I am a consumer attorney. If anyone has information about their experiences with Zillow's tenant screening I would greatly appreciate the opportunity to discuss. I am working on a very important case against Zillow for alleged violation of the Fair Credit Reporting Act. Thank you.

I don’t use Zillow but if you are an attorney going after Zillow for violating the fair credit reporting act. How would a landlord sharing someone’s credit information with you not be violating the fair credit reporting act? --73.159.xxx.xx |

plenty nailed it.
If there is a lawsuit in the works there had to be some information presented to justify even looking into it.
Obviously I am not a lawyer, but this sounds like a phishing expedition.
I only used Zillow one time and not sure I even looked at the application the tenant supplied until mine was filled out. --107.147.xx.xxx |

Vicki,
Thoughts...I responded on your other thread.
I suggest you work with a LL already represented by your office so that LL does not fear being investigated.

I use a meta crawler - one webpage that feeds multiple others. I can tell you that when you tell the initial page to stop advertising, it takes a few days for them to stop marketing.
If someone says I am not screening them while the place is being marketed, it could indeed be true. But that wouldn't that someone is necessarily mean the Landlord wants the place marketed.
I believe zillow also uses meta crawlers. I could see where if zillow uses credit pre-screening, where this could look real ugly - but it wouldn't be the Landlords fault in my eyes. The landlord has the place filled and typically turns off the marketing. If 30 other webpages elect to still want to advertise it as available, it is the landlords job to control the interenet --24.101.xxx.xxx |
