So, I didn't have to ask, do you rent to, Sally? or give a wrong rent amount and let them correct me.

I only called because I didn't put much trust in Zillow's self application.

This will be my new screening question.

If I called you as a honest LL, would you ask how many bedrooms? or what is your budget?

Back when I used to answer the phone, I’d hang up on people that asked me that too. Or tell them they had the wrong number as I never advertised my phone number and I’d never have prospects call me anyways.

Vee, no arrangement with this manager. The last 4 or 5 years I have rented vacancies out by referrals only and I do get calls from prospects to see if I have any rentals open, and I ask who gave you my number?

You hit the nail on the head with the down and out applicants. Ran into a tenant from 2002 he has been homeless since 2021. Living in his truck. He collets SSI.

If a landlord calls me to ask about a tenant, I will talk to him (was that the question, because I am not quite sure what you are asking?)
